Grace2Fight aims to bring awareness to the abuse and neglect faced by many children in the world today. The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services reported 67,313 confirmed child abuse and neglect cases in Texas alone. Grace2Fight seeks to empower individuals to act as child-centered advocates. Together we can make a difference not only in the lives of these children and families but in our society. The core mission of our organization is to be the voice to the voiceless and to protect the most innocent ones. Recidivism can be seen as a societal and economic problem; the pattern of recidivism starts from foster care as youth unreadily age out of the system with biopsychosocial issues leading them eventually to repeated institutionalization. The Christian Alliance for Orphans stated that more than 1,000 at-risk young youth in Texas age out of the foster care system each year alone and are homeless, most suffer from trauma-induced mental health concerns and are addicted to substances. By age 21, 71% of young women who grew up in foster care have children. Most without any support, the cycle continues, until we intervene and assist these children at the start before history repeats itself. Grace2Fight aims to restore, heal, and help families through advocacy, education, and support.
Grace2Fight is an organization aimed to provide mental health services to at-risk children and their families. We are a community in Houston that provides resources and mental health services to families in need, with a heightened focus on children within the foster care system.
Grace2Fight wants to spread the message of hope and compassion. We believe a single action can make a difference in the lives of others, but it takes collective action to greatly impact the many. Through advocacy and outreach programs, our team works tirelessly each day to contribute their part to the world. Our programs and activities are designed to be a catalyst that helps the community to reach its full potential. Join us in the cultivation of healing by bringing about positive change to Houston families.
